In love with our holiday home at Landal Orveltermarke
We immediately fell in love with our holiday home at Landal Orveltermarke and would buy this house if we could. The atmosphere of this farm cottage was great.
The outside of the house has all that authentic atmosphere and the rustic inside is only an addition to that.
A holiday home with a cosy, modern interior
The decor is quite modern and seems quite new. The sofa is amazing. A real sofa instead of a bad holiday home sofa. And while you're sitting on the couch, you can both watch television and enjoy the green view through your garden doors. Even with bad weather, you can feel the green nature of Drenthe in this house.
There is an open kitchen for cooking, where you will also find the large dining table with six chairs. It's so cozy when you're on vacation, that you're not alone in the kitchen. The kitchen has all the desired appliances. A good stove, a combination microwave and a dishwasher, wonderfully luxurious.
Wake up among the birdsong at Landel Orveltermarke
The four of us slept in a house for six people. There was an en-suite bedroom on the ground floor and 2 further en-suite bedrooms on the first floor.
Especially the bedrooms upstairs with the high beamed ceiling had a great atmosphere. And the view from the window, amazing!
There was absolutely nothing to criticize about the bedrooms. Nice window decoration, good beds and fine bed linen. We slept wonderfully at Landal Orveltermarke.
An amazing sleep and an amazing wake up at Landal Orveltermarke
In addition to a great night's sleep, waking up at Landal Orveltermarke is also great. The cottage is surrounded by a small garden, which you have all to yourself. You can park your car in the driveway at your house, also a big plus. In the garden you will find a terrace with table and chairs. A nice place to wake up in the nature of Drenthe, between the birdsong.
What made our house very special was the unobstructed and green view at the rear. From the garden of our house you walked straight onto the green meadow. Wonderful for a walk.
Landal Orveltermarke is primarily a park where you can relax surrounded by nature. But of course there are also all kinds of activities and fun things to do at the park, because it is of course a Landal park.
Both big and small children will definitely not be bored at Landal Orveltermarke.
Swimming at Landal Orveltermarke
Landal Orveltermarke has an indoor swimming pool. It is a small pool, where you should not think about swimming laps. It is mainly a swimming pool where small children can have fun and play in the water.
In the summer you can swim in the natural swimming pool, on the edge of the park. This water is completely free of chemicals and is naturally purified. So you don't have to worry about the quality of the water, it's just really good.
This natural pool is more a pool for the summer, when the temperatures outside are rising and you want to cool off. In winter, but also in autumn and spring, the water can be a bit on the cold side,
In the summer there is also a small kiosk where you can buy drinks and, for example, ice cream. This will only open when the temperature outside is really suitable for swimming and bathers are expected.
Playing at Landal Orveltermarke
At Landal Orveltermarke you will find various places where the children can play. You will immediately see the first playground when you enter the park, next to the main building. A large bouncy castle immediately attracts the attention of the children.
A little further on there is a sports field, where children can play football or basketball. A nice place where older children can also enjoy themselves.
The nicest playground in Landal Orveltermarke is adventure island. This adventurous nature playground has all kinds of climbing equipment and even a cable car and is fun for both big and small children.
Play golf at Landal Orveltermarke
You will probably notice it immediately when you drive towards Landal Orveltermarke, the park is located next to a golf course. Novice and experienced golfers can play golf here.
There is also a mini golf course at Landal Orveltermarke. Mini golf is always a hit with children.
The holiday homes of Landal Orveltermarke are of course perfect for cooking and dining, both indoors and outdoors.
But if you don't feel like cooking right now, you can also pick up food from the bar in the restaurant. Fries, frikandellen and much more can be picked up and simply eaten at your cottage.
Of course you can also just go out for dinner in the cozy restaurant. Landal Orveltermarke's restaurant is located in the main building next to the reception. This cozy restaurant has a good menu. Not very extensive, but there is something for everyone. Moreover, you can also order everything that they serve in the snack bar.The staff is super friendly and that makes eating in this restaurant super fun.
What is there to do near Landal Orveltermarke
Landal Orveltermarke has a fairly central location in Drenthe and is therefore the perfect base to Drenthe to explore.
Close to the park you can already enjoy walking and cycling in the beautiful nature areas around the park.
Don't have any bicycles with you? No problem, you can rent these at the park. Cycle along the overgrown fields of the Drenthse, under the large oak trees and smell the scent of the pine trees. It is really beautiful cycling in the area of Landal Orveltermarke.

The largest hunebed can be found at the hunebed center in Borger, where you can also learn everything about hunebedden and the prehistoric peoples who were responsible for these hunebeds.
