Of all our accommodations in South Africa, Laughing Waters Guest House has by far the most beautifully landscaped garden. Everything looks neat and tidy. This tropical garden has a lovely swimming pool, where you can enjoy the chirping birds all day long.

These people have been running Laughing Waters Guest in Hazyview for a number of years and they do a great job. The owners are really genuinely nice and warm people. You really feel welcome and right at home at Laughing Waters Guest House.

The rooms at Laughing Waters Guest House are located in a beautiful tropical courtyard garden. So the entrance of the room is already spectacular. The room itself exudes luxury. And the beds.... The bed we slept in at Laughing Waters Guesthouse was really one of the nicest beds I've ever slept in. I still look in shops for a bed that is as comfortable as this bed, a high, large and ultra soft bed. From our room we could walk through a staircase into the tropical garden to the pool. The tropical garden is really beautifully landscaped and beautifully maintained.

You must tell the owners in advance, but you can choose to have breakfast and dinner at Laughing Waters Guest House. You can choose from a number of different dishes and they are all equally delicious. Breakfast consists of a part buffet and part a la carte. At Laughing Waters Guest House, they make sure you don't lack for anything.
Restaurants near Laughing Waters Guest House, Hazyview
Eating at Laughing Waters Guest House is highly recommended as it is quite a drive to other restaurants in the Hazyview area. Moreover, the restaurants that we have seen there do not have nearly as much atmosphere as the restaurant of Laughing Waters Guest House, where you can have a really romantic dinner.
Hippos at Laughing Water Guest House, Hazyview
As you drive past the river and lemon groves towards Laughing Waters Guest House, you will already see signs warning about hippos. But a hippo is not something you would immediately expect in these surroundings. But one evening we were having a lovely dinner at Laughing Waters Guest House when all of a sudden there was a commotion. Turns out there was just a hippo standing at the gate looking for a snack. What an experience, but also quite scary that they just walk around outside the fence, because you really don't want to encounter these animals. Now they mainly stay by the river, so you don't really have to worry about it luckily.
