The Asserbos is really a piece of tranquility in the middle of nature, just fifteen minutes from Assen. There are numerous activities in the Asserbos, the history of which even goes back to the Middle Ages.

There is a petting zoo for children. From the sustainability center you can take the gnome walk with children, which runs past the petting zoo.
